Back home now after a few days visiting teams up north. We visited Tanilba Bay, Forster, Hallidays Point, Old Bar and Coffs Harbour SUFMs, checking out what the teams were up to, taking pics, chatting and praying. Hopefully we were an encouragement – the teams were certainly an encouragement to us! All these enthusiastic, energetic and passionate people giving up their time and money to care for people, give kids a fun holiday and share the love of Jesus. It’s a wonderful thing!
Steve and Stu, my travelling companions, are continuing up north. They decided it would be best for me to leave at this almost halfway point – they know how tired I get and that I probably wouldn’t manage that well much longer. I’m grateful for their care, even though I’m a little sad to be missing the rest of the trip. Having said that, I got home this morning and have been asleep most of the day so I think they were onto something!
Tonight is usually a big night for teams, with most of them running something big for New Year’s Eve. If you’re a praying type, please pray that the activities would be safe, loads of fun and that amidst the revelry people would listen to what the teams have to say about Jesus.
