Well much like Sammi, I have many desks…
At the top is my sewing table, probably my favourite ‘desk’ because I love the work I do there! On it are pieces of a tote bag I started about three weeks ago (featuring a panel from Dr Seuss’s Oh the places you’ll go!) and since then, there has been precious little time to work on it. Maybe tonight.
Bottom left is next to my sewing table and has my monitor, speakers, papers and junk for when I’m doing graphics/writing work/working at home (which I do on Wednesdays and Fridays). There’s a draft of a book a friend has written on church music which I need to proofread, and bits and pieces from my recent trips to Asia.
Both these desks are in my bedroom, so it often feels like I’m stuck in there all the time. It can be a bit claustrophobic.
So sometimes I come out into the living room to work. Hooray for laptops and sunny spots! So the coffee table is also my sometimes desk. And it’s closer to the kitchen, which has the food.
There’s also my desk at SU HQ, but I was home sick today so no pic of that. It merely serves as a plinth for my massive Apple Thunderbolt display, with which I am in love, inasmuch as it is possible to love an inanimate object.
